ICP Releases Policy Bulletin Updates for First Half of 2026

International Comfort Products (ICP) has issued an important service bulletin (SB2521) outlining policy updates for its Residential and Commercial Systems (RCS). The update, which takes effect immediately, reviews all Product Policy Bulletins published prior to December 31, 2025, to establish new expiration dates and clarify credit eligibility for dealers and warranty departments.

The primary takeaway for dealers is that most listed Policy Bulletins will continue to be eligible for credit through the first half of the year. ICP plans to review and update these expiration dates again by June 30, 2026.

Terminated Bulletins Dealers should note that two bulletins have been officially terminated from the previous policy update (SB2512) and are no longer active:

  • SB2417: Light Commercial - 2-Stage Gas SRTs Built with 1-Stage Gas Valve

  • SB2511: 410A Rating Plate Electrical Data

Active Bulletins Extended Through June 2026 Several non-safety bulletins have had their expiration dates extended to June 30, 2026. These include:

  • SB2404: Addressing 48/50 GC size 04-06 units with humidimizers where the valve was installed backwards.

  • SB2513: BOM ECM Motor Issue (Update TIC2025-0028).

  • SB2518: 90% Furnace Gasket Leaks.

Permanent Safety Notices ICP also emphasized several ongoing safety-related bulletins. Because these address product safety, they do not have an expiration date (listed as N/A - Safety) and remain in permanent effect:

  • SB15-0012: PTAC/PTHP Mandatory Safety Recall

  • SB18-0021: Non-WIFI Observer® Software Revision Verification and Update

  • SB2402: Economizer Harness Jumper Rework involving smoke detectors (WTY240001)

  • SB2410: Light Commercial - Smoke Detector Product Safety Notice

Next Steps for Dealers ICP urges all dealers to advise their warranty departments that these new expiration dates supersede any original documentation. Keeping warranty teams up to date on these changes will ensure smooth processing for eligible credits over the next six months.
