Subject: Daikin FIT, Amana® Brand S-series, and Goodman SD PCB Software Improvement 

Daikin Comfort Technologies North America, Inc. (Daikin) is pleased to announce the Daikin FIT, Amana Brand S-series, and Goodman SD printed circuit boards (PCBs) received a software improvement. This improvement changed the detection value of undervoltage protection to prevent nuisance E30 fault codes during brownouts and power failures.  Daikin is currently reworking all service PCBs in the factory and is requesting all distributor service PCB inventory to be quarantined so Daikin can coordinate their return for rework. If you are a distributor and have any of these parts on hand, please contact your Customer Service Representative (CSR) for a Returned Material Authorization (RMA). Replacement PCBs must be ordered by the distributor to replace their returned inventory.

 For systems already installed that are experiencing an E30 fault code, the PCB must be changed to resolve the issue. Service PCBs shipped from Daikin have been updated and can be identified by the new part number. Please see the table below for all affected inventory part numbers.
