With the new equipment having more sensitive electronic components built into the operation, monitoring and protecting the equipment from under and over voltage conditions is more important than ever.

The ICM493 is an advanced, single-phase line voltage monitor with a bank of surge arresters for added protection against brownouts, lightning strikes, power outages & recoveries, startup of larger equipment, power grid faults, short circuits and more. Includes a built-in 40A contactor. Housed in a NEMA Rated 3R enclosure for outdoor installations. UL Listed. Installs easily between the service disconnect and the condensing unit. Ideal for Mini-Splits or other valuable, single-phase equipment.

SPECIFICATIONS Input: Contact Ratings: • 180-264 VAC • 50/60 Hz • Voltage: 240 VAC • FLA: 40A • LRA: 240A

Installation is straight forward (see attached manual)

One important step during the installation and set-up is to measure the line voltage with a true RMS voltmeter, then calibrate the ICM control to the actual measured voltage.

Calibration Steps

The ICM493 can be calibrated to match the reading from a true RMS meter.

1. Measure input voltage from T1 to T2 using a true RMS meter.

2. Hold buttons (Up/Down) simultaneously until line voltage starts to flash.

3. Adjust voltage using (UP) or (Down) to match measured voltage from step 1.

4. Push (SET-UP) button to lock values into memory.
