Nortek / Miller MG1E Ignitor Issues
print icon

Over the past couple years we have been having issues with ignitors blowing up on the MG1E furnaces. For awhile we were changing ignitors just to see them do the same in the same week or in the following few months. Boards were also being changed as people were thinking that was the issue.

To fix this, Nortek has introduced the 903110B ignitor to replace eventually its predecessor the 903110A. Other models using the 903110A can still use them just fine, but if you have a unit that is losing ignitors, it is suggested to put the 903110B on it instead. Factory is anticipating that furnaces produced starting in February of 2025 will have this ignitor on it already. If you have anymore questions feel free to submit a ticket!
