Goodman Air Conditioner Important Notice: 0131M00804 ECM Motor Low Voltage Wiring

Technicians working with the 0131M00804 ECM Motor should be aware of a unique wiring configuration on the following models:

• GLXS4BA6010AA

• ALXS4BA6010AA

• ALXS4NA6010AA

• DC4SQA6010AA

• DC4SEA6010AA

Key Advisory:

• The yellow fan wire on these models may appear to be disconnected. This is not a factory error.

• If the yellow wire is mistakenly connected to the run capacitor during installation, the motor may experience electrical stress, leading to premature failures and increased warranty claims.

• Unlike other models using the same ECM motor, these units do not require the yellow fan wire to be connected for proper operation.

Installation & Troubleshooting Guidelines:

• Always review the wiring diagram before installation or motor replacement.

• Do not connect the outdoor fan motor yellow wire to the capacitor on these models.

• When checking operation, ensure 24 volts is supplied to the ECM motor module—manually engaging the contactor will not start the motor and may result in an incorrect failure diagnosis.

Upcoming Quality Improvement:

To prevent miswiring, Daikin’s Quality Assurance team is implementing a 90-day program to remove this terminal and add a closed wire connector.
