Fujitsu Controls Overview
The Edge Controller is an advanced system management device designed for Fujitsu Airstage systems. It enables centralized scheduling and programming of multiple indoor units, allowing for efficient system operation tailored to the building’s usage patterns. In addition to control functionality, the Edge Controller provides remote monitoring capabilities for the refrigeration cycle. This feature allows contractors to diagnose system performance and identify potential issues prior to arriving on-site, improving response time and overall service efficiency. Can be used on VRF and mini splits. It will not be able look at refrigeration cycle on Mini Splits as of yet. 

Alternatively, Wi-Fi modules can be installed on each indoor unit to enable control via the Airstage Mobile App. However, this approach does not provide system-wide performance data or diagnostic capabilities, limiting its usefulness for remote troubleshooting and system analysis. Wifi Modules will disable the programming ability of schedules on thermostats connected to the same unit. Can be used on VRF and Mini Splits.

Thermostat Options
Fujitsu also offers wall-mounted wired controllers such as the UTY-RNRUZ5 and UTY-RVRU, which support timer functions with up to four programmable schedule changes per day. These thermostats provide a simple yet effective method of maintaining comfort while aligning HVAC operation with occupancy schedules. Can be used on VRF and Mini Splits.
